Surrounded by woods, this beautiful
Victorian-style home offers quiet relaxation in an ideal setting.
The hardwood floors, leaded-glass windows, oak-paneled staircase,
and wraparound porch all add to the inviting elegance of Sherwood
Forest. Queen-size beds, private bathrooms, and air conditioning
add 20th century comforts.
Each morning breakfast is served in the lace-curtained dining
room or on the gracious porch. Breakfast favorites include
blueberry coffeecake, cinnamon -orange French toast, or potato
quiche, accompanied by fresh fruit salad, home- baked breads
and muffins, and gourmet coffee and teas. We also can accommodate
those who are Gluten Free.
During the summer, swim in the heated pool, adorned with a
spectacular, hand -painted mural of a sunken Greek ship embedded
in a coral reef, surrounded by amphora vessels and a rainbow
of tropical fish. Or walk 1/2 block to a Lake Michigan public
beach. The area's wide, white sandy beaches are the perfect
place for strolling, swimming, or watching beautiful sunsets.
In the springtime, use Sherwood Forest's bicycles to explore
the scenic lakeshore or for a short ride into charming Saugatuck/Douglas.
Nearby wooded dunes also offer great hiking paths to enjoy
Mother Nature as she awakens and sends out her welcoming chorus
of flowers and scents.
In the fall, just outside your window, watch the Beech, Sugar
Maple, and Sassafras trees paint a colorful picture for your
viewing pleasure.In the winter, cross-country ski through
the dunes overlooking Lake Michigan, sled the golf course
hills, or perhaps just enjoy some much-needed down time with
a good book, a warm Jacuzzi, and a cozy fireplace.
All year-round, enjoy the many shopping and fine dining experiences
in Saugatuck and Douglas.
Your hosts, Keith and Susan Charak, were drawn to Western
Michigan by its beauty and innumerable charms. They look forward
to sharing their enthusiasm for the area with their guests.
Open year-round, reservations are recommended and a minimum
two-night stay is required on weekends (three nights on holidays).
The first night stay deposit and cancellation 10 days from
the confirmed date(s) are required. If cancellation is made
within 10 days of the date(s) and if the room(s) can be re-rented,
the first night stay will be returned.

Phone is answered from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. (Eastern Time). Sorry,
no pets allowed and no smoking inside the house. Children
are welcome on a limited basis.
